Council are seeking driven, friendly, passionate and confident individuals, to join our team as a Water Operations Trainee (Network). You will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Water Operations (Network).

Based at either Chinchilla or Tara, the successful applicant will be:

  • Assisting to interpret job specifications and job orders;
  • Assisting with scheduling and resourcing;
  • Assisting with daily operation and maintenance of water and waste water treatment plants, pump stations, bores, reservoirs, pipelines and associated infrastructure; and
  • Undertaking manual handling / labouring duties.

About yourself

The successful applicant will have:

  • Ability to complete a Nationally Recognised Qualification (Certificate III in Water Operations (Network)) within 24 months;
  • Year 12 Certificate in Education or be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience;
  • Sound level of literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to work towards and achieve team objectives; and
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.

  • Be above the age of 15;
  • Be able to meet citizen, residency and Visa requirements to undertake a traineeship or apprenticeship; and
  • Do not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification in the same field as your traineeship or apprenticeship.

You must be available to attend an interview towards the end of 2024.
