Have an exciting opportunity to join our Wastewater Services team as a Ganger High Pressure Sew Flush!

What You Will Do:

You will have the opportunity to maintain all aspects of the sewerage reticulation system and ensure customer complaints are actioned in accordance with Water & Waste service standards, while keeping your Team Leader informed of any required maintenance. 

Some of your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Repair sewer reticulation and lateral connection
• Operate in conjunction with the vacuum tanker crew blockages to remove silt and sand from sewer lines
• Maintain high pressure sewer cleaning trucks and
• Operate licensed emergency overflow valves equipment
• Advocate a positive and constructive organisational
• Inspect/investigate and record manhole asset culture integrity
• Participate in the after-hours callout roster for
• Perform high pressure flushing of sewer mains Wastewater Operations

What We Are Looking For:

• Secondary education to Year 10; and qualification in a trade profession or equivalent skill/ experience relevant to the work area.
• Previous experience in the wastewater industry and the operation of heavy plant
• Good knowledge of reticulated systems and related repairs and maintenance.
• Current Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card)
• A current HR driver’s license
• Physical wellbeing to receive training and accreditation for entry into confined spaces.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Willingness to undertake additional training, as required.
• A practical ability to organise machinery and resources to resolve sewerage system defects.
• Sound written and interpersonal communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution and consultation.
• An understanding of basic mathematics
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstration commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
