The City of Karratha is looking for a
dedicated and skilled Operations Projects
Officer to join our dynamic team on a
casual basis.

The Operations Projects Officer is
responsible for assisting with managing
and coordinating infrastructure projects
and capital works renewal programs from
inception to delivery. You will work
alongside the Operations team to help
drive effective project development,
implementation, and execution, ensuring
contemporary project management
practices are followed. This role provides
an exciting opportunity to play a vital part
in shaping the City’s infrastructure future.

• Contract and Tender Administration
• Reporting & Compliance

The successful candidate will possess:

• Sound knowledge of project management practices,
with experience in budgeting, reporting, and tender
processes.
• Experience in managing contracts and liaising with
contractors in both private and public sectors.
• Understanding of local infrastructure practices and
statutory requirements.
• Experience in preparing project briefs, tender
documents, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of asset management systems and the City’s
procurement processes.
• Ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of
stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and
community groups.
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management,
Engineering, or a related field.
• A National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than
6 months old)
