About the Opportunity
Council has an exciting opportunity in its Environmental Services team as a Biosecurity Officer based in Molong.
The position will be responsible for working as a member of a team to undertake actions to prevent, eliminate and manage biosecurity risk posed by weeds on Council controlled lands and private lands as required ensuring that the objectives of the Weed Activity Program, Bio Security Act and Council Policy are met. To carry out private property and public domain inspections for weeds in an efficient and professional manner, within the required regulatory framework. To promote and provide information about Cabonne Council’s Weeds Program and Bio Security Act..
Working in a small team, led by a supportive and proactive management team, you will be provided with support and training in line with Council's values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations.

The operation does not require shift work or rotational rostering, instead providing flexibility for the perfect work/life balance. The position operates under a 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight in place.
