Cairns Regional Council is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our 2025 Trainee intake!

We have nine (9) traineeship positions available across five (5) Directorates, offering you the perfect opportunity to gain practical experience, develop new skills, and contribute to our community.

• 6 x Trainee Administration Officers
• 1 x Trainee ICT Support Officer
• 1 x Trainee Theatre and Audio Visual Technician
• 1 x Trainee Store Person

We are seeking people who are:

• Are committed to completing the 12-month traineeship

**To be eligible to undertake these traineeships candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• young people (aged 15–24 years), including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care
• long-term unemployed job seekers
• mature-age job seekers (aged 45 years or older)
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
• migrants and refugees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
• people with disability
• displaced workers
• women re-entering the workforce
• veterans, ex-ADF personnel and their families
