Casual Community Events Officer x 2

Rate of pay: $35.36 - $39.62 per hour, plus casual loading and superannuation

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About us

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

About the role

You will contribute to a team responsible for delivering community events including:

• Providing exceptional high-level customer service to Council’s internal and external customers
• Supporting event staff in setting up, packing down and assisting with a range of tasks during community events. Noting this role requires lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Promoting a professional and positive image of Council

About you

In this role we require a highly motivated person who has experience in an event environment. The person must be diplomatic, confident and able to communicate and manage expectations of internal and external customers of Council. This role requires a person with patience and who is a team player, with a positive attitude and a willingness to help others.

Please note that it is a requirement of this position for the successful applicant to be double vaccinated prior to commencing duties at Council.
