Status: 6 month Temporary Part-Time opportunity with the possibility of extension (0.6 FTE)

Salary range: Level 4.1 to 4.3 ($72,446.20 – 74,788.40 pro-rata) based on skills and experience.

Job Description

Albany Regional Day Care is looking for Child Care Educator Qualified or ECT for regular Wednesday, Thursday and Friday work.

In this role you will report to the Child Care Educator Team Leader, with your duties seeing you:

  • Working as a team member and assist in providing a safe and stimulating environment, which meets children’s needs and encourages parent participation;
  • Oversee the curriculum and act as a specialist advice contact for early childhood learning; and
  • Generally assisting in the functioning of the Centre.
  • Incorporating the early years framework (EYLF) curriculum into programs and providing guidance to other Child Care Educators.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in either role you will need:

  • A passion for working with children;
  • The ability to communicate well with the team and parents;
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent;
  • First Aid and Working with Children Check; and,
  • The ability to manage the demands of a busy workplace.
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or equivalent for ECT only.
