Your Opportunity
The Whitsunday Regional Council is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Parks and Gardens Labourer to join our team. This role involves a range of labouring tasks related to the construction, establishment, and maintenance of parks and gardens infrastructure across the beautiful Whitsunday region.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake general labouring duties including vegetation control, maintenance, litter control, and other parks and gardens activities.
• Operate small plant and equipment safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
• Collaborate with Leading Hands, Managers, and Council staff to complete allocated tasks efficiently.
• Implement traffic management requirements, including traffic control schemes and plans in line
with current regulations.
• Maintain and operate Council vehicles, plant, and equipment in accordance with safety and operational standards.
• Complete daily timesheets, pre-start checks, and maintain records as required.
• Report any issues that may affect operations, safety, or staff welfare to supervisors or managers.
• Be available to work at various locations throughout the region as required.
• Perform other duties consistent with your skills, training, and experience as directed.

• Certificate II or III in Horticulture
