Who we are:
The City of Salisbury is a local government entity and encompasses an area of 158km2. We are a customer focused organisation, providing essential services to residents and visitors, in a dynamic and flexible working environment.
The Urban Recreation and Natural Assets Division (URNA) consists of three teams responsible for developing policy and systems that inform council's strategic development, management and future planning of council's buildings, lighting and electrical assets, natural and recreational assets.
The Role:
In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the administrative functions related to Council’s leased and licensed properties, with a strong focus on sports and community clubs in the City of Salisbury. Reporting to the Senior Club Leasing Officer, you will deliver exceptional customer service to these clubs, ensure lease properties are maintained per the Lease Customer Service Charter, and foster positive relationships between clubs and Council’s internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality property management services to lease and license holders.
- Manage the scheduling of licensed premises and associated areas.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with lease and license holders.
- Ensure adherence to Council policies, procedures, and legislation in administering lease agreements.
- Keep clubs informed about Council services aligned with service levels and communicate any potentially sensitive issues to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of systems supporting sports and community clubs.
- Support the operational management of leased properties and assist in strategic projects, including sustainability and risk management efforts.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in a similar role within property management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and flexibility to manage complex property issues.
- Knowledge of South Australian sports associations, sporting grants, and best practices in the field.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation related to property and local government.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Political sensitivity and sound report-writing skills.
- Experience in drafting contracts and property-related documents.
- A valid driver’s license.
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
- Formal qualifications in a property-related discipline.
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1999, particularly Chapter 11.
- Understanding of Local Government structures and administrative processes.
