About the Role
Our Communications Officer is a pivotal role in shaping our internal communication strategies and fostering engagement across the City.
You'll lead internal communication strategies by developing and revising annual plans to boost engagement and alignment with organisational goals.
Serving as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, you'll ensure effective communication and support, especially during times of change and crises, by implementing timely internal communication plans.
You'll manage content across internal channels, coordinate impactful campaigns, and ensure all communications reflect our brand values.
Your role involves continuous evaluation of communication efforts, managing feedback channels, and collaborating closely with departments to maintain consistent messaging.
You'll also assist in organising and promoting internal events to enhance organisational awareness, and provide support to the wider marketing and communications team where required.
Essential qualifications include a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related fields.
If you have experience in creating campaigns that drive strong employee engagement, proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva this will be an added benefit.
What we offer
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the City of Bunbury Employee's 2022 Enterprise Agreement with a Level 5 ($88,555.03) gross pro-rata salary. This is a Part Time (0.8 FTE - 4 days per week) - 12 months Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover
