About the opportunity
Join our Active and Connected Communities team as a Community Development Officer, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our community development practices, partnerships, and communications. This role offers a chance to provide high-level customer service to community members and internal teams in a timely, professional, and effective manner.
You will make an impact by
- Responding to community enquiries regarding Council programs and venues.
- Managing enquiries and administration of accounting processes.
- Ensuring effective and efficient administration of assigned community facilities.
- Providing accurate and high-quality customer service, responding to a wide range of customer requests.
- Administering and implementing operational procedures and systems to facilitate partnerships with community organisations.
- Assisting with the governance administration of community facilities (e.g., advertising AGM’s).
What you will bring
- Experience working in a similar role within the community sector.
- Administration and customer service experience.
- Knowledge of systems such as Ungerboeck, Smarty Grants, and Technology One.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the procedures and processes, policies and legislation required to manage a diverse range of events and activities within a venue and facility management.
- Expertise in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence and a current Victorian Working with Children Check
