About the Role
As our Community Safety Officer, you’ll be the driving force behind the City’s safety programs and initiatives.
You will work closely with internal departments, local services, emergency responders, and community groups to design and deliver programs that reflect the priorities of our community.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the Community Safety portfolio, including implementation of the Community Safety Plan
• Building and maintaining effective partnerships with WA Police, DFES, community stakeholders, and volunteers
• Leading community engagement on safety-related issues and encouraging local participation
• Administering policies, managing budgets, reporting outcomes, and seeking funding opportunities
• Liaising with key stakeholders to design and deliver innovative, place-based crime prevention strategies
