As our Emergency Management Officer, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our community and environment through proactive planning, strategic leadership, and operational coordination. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the development and implementation of
emergency management policies and plans across
the organisation and community.
• Coordinating and executing key initiatives such as
the Firebreak Program, Cyclone Inspections, and
Bushfire Mitigation Programs.
• Acting as a key liaison for the City on Local
Emergency Management Committees and during
emergency events.
• Managing grant funding applications and budgets
related to emergency preparedness and
community resilience.

What We’re Looking For:

You’re a natural communicator and organiser, with strong judgement and a proactive approach. 

You have:

• Experience in emergency management or a related
discipline, with a sound understanding of relevant
legislation and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-
solving skills.
• A Diploma in Emergency Management (or studying
towards), and relevant certifications including Fire
Control Officer and First Aid are desirable.
• A current C Class driver’s licence and recent
National Police Clearance.
