We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Concrete Labourer / Truck Drivers to join our North Maintenance Team!
What You Will Do:
You will perform on-site labouring and driving tasks which include:
Perform form setting, construct and repair concrete pits and slabs and conduct site preparation, levelling and installation of formwork.
Execute concrete finishing, stamping, stencilling and curing.
Operate small plant and vehicles and conduct daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Maintain professionalism and high standard of communication with stakeholders and engage with the public as needed, providing quality customer service.
Ensure accurate recording of all tasks in Council’s business systems.
Strive to achieve high productivity and quality on tasks.
Attend workshops, seminars and training sessions as required.
Complete other duties as required to meet operational needs.
Who We Are Looking For:
Essential Qualifications & Licences:
Completion of secondary education to Year 10 with competency in basic math and effective communication.
Hold a current Queensland Medium Rigid (MR) class driver’s licence (minimum requirement).
White Card (General Safety Construction).
Essential Skills & Experience:
Physical capacity to undertake strenuous construction and maintenance tasks.
Proven skills in concrete finishing, stamping, stencilling, and coloured concrete.
Demonstrated experience in concrete infrastructure repair, formwork, finishing, driving trucks, ability to work in a small team with a high level of motivation and work efficiently with limited supervision.
The ability to use or to learn to use electronic devices (e.g. tablets, smartphones) as applicable to this position.
