Coordinator Wimmera Emergency Management

• Band 7 ($102,398 - $114,456 per annum)
• Full-time with flexible working arrangements available

This position requires the incumbent to work across the partner local government areas to support Wimmera-wide emergency management planning obligations. The position supports strategic emergency management and resource sharing across the Wimmera local government areas of Hindmarsh Shire, Horsham Rural City, Yarriambiack Shire and West Wimmera Shire. This work is guided by the Wimmera Emergency Management Steering Group.

Role objectives include:

• Guiding the development of the partner councils' emergency management capacity and capability
• Implementing consistent emergency management arrangements across the partner councils
• Engaging the community and other stakeholders in a ‘shared responsibility' approach to emergency management
• Advocating on behalf of the partner councils in Emergency Management
