The Role

We are seeking a new Destination Digital Marketing Officer to join our team to showcase the City of Greater Bendigo and all it has to offer.

In this dynamic role you will support the Destination & Experience team by:

  • Campaign Support: Assist in the development and execution of digital and traditional marketing campaigns, supporting the team to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Social Media Management: Plan, create, and publish content across all social media platforms, including paid campaigns, enhancing brand awareness and engagement. 
  • Content Creation: Write, design, and update digital content for the website, blog posts and internal communications based on industry best practice.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support the seamless execution of digital campaigns, ensuring effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.
  • Project Support: Provide support for digital marketing projects and initiatives, including scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, maintaining campaign documentation, and assisting with asset management.
  • Market Research: Track competitor and industry trends, spot potential collaboration opportunities or popular campaigns to heighten brand’s visibility.

About You

You will have the ability to successfully plan and create digital content with a high degree of professionalism, presentation and creative direction.

Demonstrated exceptional digital literacy skills with the confidence and ability to learn new technology, systems and software is required together with strong written and verbal communication skills, including high attention to detail.

Formal qualifications in marketing or tourism with previous experience in a digital marketing with the use of marketing tools and social media is highly desirable.

A satisfactory police records check and driver’s licence is required for this position.
