Development Compliance Officer – Full Time

  • Salary: $77,780 - $91,188 per annum
  • Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)

An exciting opportunity is available for a Development Compliance Officer to join the City of Joondalup Compliance team.

The City’s Compliance Services team is seeking a suitably experienced person to provide advice and information to the public regarding building and planning compliance, undertake building inspections and prepare reports and correspondence in relation to compliance issues. The successful applicant will also advise other Business Units on development compliance control matters.

Your covering letter will need to address the following selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply, interpret and administer Local Laws, the Local Planning Scheme, the Residential Design Codes, the Building Act 2011, and the Planning and Development Act 2005.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to effectively liaise and negotiate with internal and external parties.
  • Demonstrated written skills, including experience in liaising effectively and courteously with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in the building industry and/or compliance related field.
