We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Parks & Gardens Coordinator to join our team in the City of Karratha’s Asset Maintenance Department.
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead the development and management of the City’s vibrant green spaces, while contributing to a sustainable, thriving community.
As the Parks & Gardens Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, technical investigations, asset management, and project delivery for all parks, gardens, and public open spaces within the City of Karratha.
Working closely with a dedicated team, including Parks & Gardens Maintenance Supervisors, Project Officers, and Admin Officers, you’ll ensure high standards of horticultural services, financial management, and strategic planning are met.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Horticultural Expertise: Extensive experience in park and garden maintenance, landscaping, and plant species management.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects in a public sector environment.
• Project Management: Strong skills in planning, budgeting, and overseeing complex projects.
• Contract Management: Experience in contract preparation, management, and procurement processes.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting to stakeholders.
• Qualifications: Relevant horticultural and project management qualifications, along with experience in large-scale team management.
