Salary & Conditions

  • The position is classified as an Early Childhood Educator Grade 6 in Council’s salary system and will attract a salary in the range of $29.43 to $32.96 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Pre-employment Functional Assessment and Drug & Alcohol screening.
  • Documentation demonstrating full COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • A current Working with Children Check is essential.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for children's growth and development.

  • Implement and uphold the centre’s policies and procedures.
