Title: Engineering Internship, Trainee - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $24429.6 to $62358.12 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Capital Projects Business Unit provides a range of services including the delivery of the capital works program, project management and design services to the organisation and is committed to providing excellent service to our community.  The Engineering and Delivery Team provide timely and accurate advice and strives to use best practice methods while developing new and innovative solutions to problems in an effective and environmentally sustainable manner.
The Capital Projects Business Unit delivers projects across a range of assets, including but not limited to:

• Roads and footpaths
• Drainage
• Buildings
• Parks and recreation

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include: 

1. To assist and design projects for the Capital Projects Team for Council. The tasks involved will include surveying and designing proposed projects which includes footpaths, road reconstruction and traffic facilities in the Walking Plan, Capital Works Program, etc. 
2. Liaise with other Business Units to provide concept plans, estimate of works and liaise with Councils Tree Preservation Officers and Service Utility Authorities to provide detailed construction drawings and all stakeholders (including Council staff, consultants, and contractors) on a range of project-specific matters.
