Join City of Moreton Bay as a Engineering Survey Technician, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Engineering Survey Technician, you will complete engineering survey activities for the planning, design and construction of council’s infrastructure to ensure departmental objectives and project outcomes are achieved.

You will have the opportunity to; 

  • perform and complete engineering surveys in accordance with relevant legislation and council’s policies and procedures
  • undertake geodetic, engineering, topographic, hydrographic, asset data collection by the researching, collecting, manipulating and setting out of the data required
  • perform administration duties and engage proactively with key stakeholders including council departments, external agencies and service authorities to ensure service outcomes are achieved in relation to assigned projects

About you

We are seeking some who has experience to use total station systems and GPS, with knowledge and experience of geodetic, engineering, topographic, hydrographic and asset data collection.

You will have experience using survey equipment, instruments and specialised survey CAD systems.

You will have mathematical skills to undertake moderately complex data calculations.

Tertiary qualification in surveying or working towards (Highly regarded but not essential) You will hold a Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years and a Current C class driver’s licence.
