About the Position

The Shire of Ashburton is on the lookout for an energetic and community-minded Library Officer to be the heart of our Onslow Library. More than just shelving books, this role is about enriching lives through stories, learning, creativity, and connection.

You'll play a key role in coordinating and delivering engaging library programs that inspire our local community—from children’s story time and school holiday activities to adult workshops and community events. Whether it’s nurturing a love of reading in a young mind or helping someone discover a new hobby, you’ll see the real impact of your work every day.

  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Support library users in discovering resources and technology
  • Assist with general administration and maintaining a welcoming space
