Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Community Grants and Inclusion Officer to lead community grants and inclusion initiatives aimed at enhancing social cohesion and liveability within Alice Springs. This role involves developing and implementing programs and events that support diverse cultures, address community needs, and maximize the effective use of resources.

The Community Grants and Inclusion Officer will be responsible for overseeing community support programs, managing budgets, developing inclusive initiatives, and implementing policies that foster social cohesion, ensuring equitable access and participation for all members of the community.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like you to bring to the team

  • Strong understanding of social justice, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Experience in delivering and assessing grants and sponsorship programs.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing events and programs based on community needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate community projects and events effectively.
  • Sound understanding of the role of local government in supporting community projects and events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare strategic reports and presentations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workloads effectively.
