The Position
The Natural Environment Field Officer, reporting to the Assistant Service
Delivery Lead (Natural Environment) is responsible for assisting with the
management of invasive plants and animals in the Cassowary Coast region.
As part of a team, the role will assist in the development and implementation
of operational activities and extension programs related to declared invasive
plants, animals, coastal and fire management. The Field Officer will work
collaboratively with stakeholders, including all land managers and contractors,
to meet collective General Biosecurity Obligations and improve land
management practices, coastal foreshores and bush regeneration projects.
About You
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Natural Resource
Management and Biosecurity
• Self-motivated and well-developed planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to obtain accreditation in Sodium Fluoroacetate (1080)
• Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
• Current Queensland “C” class drivers licence
