Immunisation Nurse

• From $62.00 per hour plus statutory superannuation 
  (inclusive of casual loading)

Council is seeking a highly self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Immunisation Nurse on a casual basis. This role would see you conducting immunisation sessions an administration of vaccines in accordance with the NHMRC guidelines. 

In this role you will be: 

• Conducting immunisation sessions and administering vaccines in accordance with the NHMRC guidelines at Council facilities, off-site locations, schools and businesses.
• Maintaining up-to-date client immunisation records and assist with ensuring stock of vaccines and consumables. 
• Utilising resources to plan catch-up programs for childhood immunisations. 
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of immunisation practices including changes to vaccine schedules, sites for vaccination, side effects, reporting procedures, periodical program requirements and new developments. 

To be successful in this position you will: 

• Be a Registered Nurse, Division 1 currently registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia.
• Hold an accredited Nurse Immuniser Qualification as per DHS Guidelines or working towards such accreditation.
• Have evidence of continuing professional development in immunisation including current CPR certificate and Management of Adverse Events following Immunisation. 
• Current Driver Licence and satisfactory Working with Children Check.

Pay Rate:

The Pay Rate for this position will be based upon the successful candidate’s years of experience working as a qualified Immunisation Nurse. The pay rate advertised above is the casual rate for Immunisation Nurse - Year 1.
