The Opportunity

You'll lead critical projects, including guiding Council decisions on Aged Care Reform, developing a strategic roadmap to strengthen our homelessness response, and laying the foundation for a new Reconciliation Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be vital in driving several critical initiatives and will focus on:

  • Aged Care Reform: Supporting the preparation for a Council decision on the Aged Care CHSP in early 2025, including leading deliberative community consultation processes and ensuring timely Council briefings and reports.
  • Homelessness Protocol: Evaluating the current operational approach to homelessness and developing a strategic roadmap to strengthen our response, including consultation with stakeholders and managing current CRMs.
  • Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP): Preparing for the development of a new RAP by reviewing the current plan, liaising with Reconciliation Australia, and supporting advisory and consultation processes.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community development, project management, and program coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of community members and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire partner organisations and staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and community well-being.
