As our Local Jobs Officer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative, place-based employment programs that connect local people to meaningful work

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and deliver place-based programs that support people facing barriers to employment to prepare for, access, and sustain meaningful work.
  • Engage with local businesses and employers to promote inclusive hiring practices and connect job seekers with workforce opportunities.
  • Support social enterprise growth and inclusive economic development through partnerships, social procurement, and enterprise-focused initiatives.
  • Join our team as a Local Jobs Officer and help shape pathways to employment for job seekers in our municipality.

About you/what you’ll bring:

You share our vision of a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive through meaningful work. You’re a strong communicator and relationship-builder with:

  • A tertiary qualification in community development, employment services, business, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in designing and delivering inclusive employment programs; or substantial relevant experience in the field.
  • A solid understanding of inclusive employment, workforce development, or economic participation programs.
  • Experience in working with job seekers, employers, or community partners.
  • A passion for social inclusion and a desire to contribute to systemic change.
  • The ability to manage projects, collaborate across sectors, and use data and insights to inform action.

Pre-employment requirements

  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check

What we offer:

  • A permanent full-time opportunity
  • Salary range $94,475.99 - $102,712.38 per annum plus super
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities, including health and well-being initiatives
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/2 weeks of paid parental leave - partner
