As a Labourer in our Landscape Services team, you'll be responsible for a range of essential tasks to maintain and improve the natural beauty of our parks, gardens, roadside verges, and open spaces.

• Keeping our public areas lush, clean, and inviting.
• Ensuring trees are healthy and safe in public spaces.
• Operating vehicles and machinery to carry out your tasks efficiently and safely.
• Working in a way that respects our environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong background in environmental health, with experience in enforcing legislation such as the Public Health Act 2005, Food Act 2006 and Environmental Protection Act 1994.
  • Thorough in conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records, with the ability to gather evidence and prepare materials for court proceedings.
  • A proactive approach to investigating complaints and taking enforcement action, always seeking the best outcomes for public health and safety.
  • The ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, educate the public, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Someone who collaborates well with others, contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the Council’s broader goals.
