About the Opportunity
Cabonne Council has a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced, collaborative and energetic leader with a passion for change management to join our organisation in the role of Leader – Safety, People and Culture.
Leading and managing the organisation’s Safety, People and Culture department, you will work with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and management to ensure a capable, safe and valued workforce through delivery of effective employee/industrial relations, recruitment, learning and development, workforce planning, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) functions. You will also be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of strategies, projects, programs and initiatives that strengthen Council’s reputation as an Employer of Choice.
Reporting to the Executive Leader – Strategy, People and Performance, you will have the opportunity to make this business-critical role your own, whilst working collaboratively across the organisation to continue building a culture that supports performance through continuous improvement and application of best-practice approaches.

Remuneration and Benefits
The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023 and Cabonne Council’s policies and conditions of employment.
The role offers an attractive annual salary range of $101,670 to $156,930 ($3,910.40 to $6,035.80 gross per fortnight) plus 11.5 per cent superannuation.
The role offers the option of a Leaseback vehicle.
