About the role

Are you passionate about driving organisational change and ensuring that transformation initiatives deliver tangible benefits? Merri-Bek City Council is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the learning and Development Transformation Lead. In this specialty and critical role, you will report to our Program Director Transformation. Your expertise will be required establishing learning plans and executing activities educating council staff on the changes the program is enabling. And verifying that our transformation program meets and exceeds Council requirements. This role plays a key part in guiding the identification, management, and realisation of benefits for our transformation program that will enable the learning phase. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will assist in defining strategic objectives, developing and implementing an education plan and the benefits realisation framework, and ensure alignment with Councils key directions.

Skills and experience require to perform the role

  • Ability to think strategically and understand Council and program aims and translate them into clear strategic objectives for the transformation program.
  • Experience in customer and digital transformation programs previously.
  • Demonstrable specialised experience in planning and executing learning and development plans.
  • Results driven with an ability to achieve measurable outcomes and drive continuous improvement in benefits realisation processes to ensure the success of the transformation program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their co-operation and support for the transformation program.
  • Experience in agile project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor activities related to benefits realisation within the transformation program.
  • Capability to work with cross-functional teams with the ability to gain cooperation in working towards common goals, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
