community programs, and deliver high-quality library services across our network.

About the Role:

As Librarian, you will play a key role in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Karratha through the management and conservation of the Local History Collection. You’ll develop and deliver educational programs, support lifelong learning, and provide expert research and reference services to the community. Working closely with the library team, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of our libraries and foster a welcoming, informative environment for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, conserve, and promote the Local History Collection
• Develop engaging programs for community members and schools.
• Provide high-quality reference and research services tailored to the needs of our
patrons.
• Prepare grant applications, manage budgets, and deliver reports to support
initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Library and Information Studies (or equivalent) and eligibility for Associate Membership of ALIA.
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong research, analytical, and customer service skills, with proficiency in library systems (Spydus experience desirable) and digital tools.
