Library Officer

About the Job

There is an exciting opportunity with the Shire of Esperance Library for a Library Officer. This position is to provide excellent customer service to enhance the effective operation of the Library service with a focus on promotion and marketing activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake promotion and marketing activities for the Library 
• Assist customers in the use of equipment and technology
• Assist with Library engagement activities, programs, events and projects

This is a permanent part-time position, working a minimum 13.5 hours per week - working Wednesdays 9:50am - 3:10pm, Thursdays 9am - 6:15pm and every fourth Saturday 8:45am - 12:15pm.

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

• Demonstrated practical experience in the use of social media, website software and graphic design programs
• A high level of digital literacy and ability to assist others
• High level of interpersonal skills

Benefits

Hourly rate: $31.79 - $34.07 per hour, dependant on relevant experience and qualifications.
