The Opportunity

Operating from within the Communities Department, you will deliver Library, QGAP (Queensland Government Agent Office), Customer Service (including administration and financial activities), Visitor Information and other Council services as required from the Jandowae Community & Cultural Centre.

This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:

Provide professional, polite, and attentive services to the community and other council departments in a positive and welcoming manner.

Deliver excellent customer service in various Council areas, including Libraries, QGAP, Customer Service and Visitor Information, as needed.

Provide a timely, effective and accurate level of service including financial records, documentation, record-keeping, transactions, and reporting.

Fixed Term/ Full Time, 36.25 hours per week until January 2026.

About Yourself

Formal qualifications are not required for this role; however, the ideal candidate should possess proven capabilities in executing diverse tasks, with a special emphasis on customer service, digital literacy, community engagement, and teamwork. A valid driver's license is a prerequisite for this position due to the necessity for travel.

The successful applicant will have or be able to obtain a working with children blue card.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading

You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while you are on Annual Leave.
