The Role

Our new Major Projects & Portfolio Management unit is responsible for the City of Greater Bendigo’s assets, capital program delivery and the project prioritisation framework, and overseeing Project Management Office functions for the organisation. 

Reporting to the Director Presentation & Assets, you will ensure the unit:

  • Delivers major capital projects, which currently includes the Marong Kindergarten, Heathcote Civic Precinct and North Bendigo Recreation Reserve Pavilion
  • Develop asset management plans
  • Coordinate the City’s project prioritisation framework
  • Develop the forward program
  • Oversee the organisation’s Project Management Office functions

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership capabilities and the proven ability to lead high performing teams. You will have extensive project management experience and the ability to deliver programs and works to standard, on time and on budget. You will have a customer service focus, strong financial management experience, ability to make decisions in a complex environment, with high level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Qualifications in project management, engineering or similar are required, as well as a satisfactory Police Records Check and employee Working with Children Check.
