The primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of exceptional mobile library services for the Richmond-Upper Clarence region.

Key Accountabilities:

• Operate and maintain the mobile library truck in a safe and effective manner within the limits of the vehicle and in accordance with transport and licence regulations and traffic laws.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by contributing to the effective and efficient operation of Council’s library services
• Support the effective and efficient delivery of the Regional Library team’s objectives
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and services provided by the role and team to ensure effective, efficient and safe delivery of objectives and maximise utilisation of resources
• Contribute to a positive safety culture within the organisation to ensure a safe workplace for our people and the community by monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, specifications, projects plans, and any other documentation required

We are looking for 

• A motivated individual with experience driving and maintaining vehicles.
• Someone who enjoys being part of the community and talking to a wide range of people. 
• Someone who is comfortable with using technology and working independently to deliver quality outcomes for our community.

In this role you will operate and maintain the mobile library truck to deliver library services to communities and small schools throughout the Richmond Valley and Kyogle regions. You will deliver a positive customer experience through your daily interactions with library members and visitors and work closely with the Regional Library team to deliver resources to each of the library's branches. 

We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:

•  Current Working with Children Check
•  Safework Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
• Current Class HR Driver Licence

About the Role

Full time: 70-hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $60,080 to $69,092 pa + 11.5% super
