THE POSITION:
The Infrastructure Services Division is responsible for ensuring that the City’s Infrastructure assets are constructed and maintained to a standard that closely aligns with the expectations of the community and the outcomes set out in Council’s Management and Operational Plan. The Infrastructure Services Division comprises of 5 branches: Civil Operations, Parks and Open Space, Fleet & Stores, Trade Services, and the Mechanical Workshop.
The Carpenter will carry out all aspects of carpentry/joinery in buildings, parks, sporting ovals, sporting and leisure facilities, equipment, etc. in a professional and tradesman-like manner to ensure ongoing maintenance, construction and labour requirements for Council properties are met.
The position will apply carpentry skills to complete planned preventative maintenance, day to day general repairs, maintenance and servicing to Councils’ Building facilities, fixtures, and assets, to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
