Are you passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces and making a positive impact in your community? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Parks Gardener to join our team and help us achieve a high standard of presentation for our City’s parks and gardens.

Primary Purpose of the Position: As a Parks Gardener, you will play a crucial role in upholding the City’s commitment to outstanding park and garden maintenance. Reporting to the Supervisor Parks, you will ensure our parks and gardens meet the highest standards of presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various plant and equipment for daily maintenance tasks.
• Inspect park structures and amenities; promptly report and address any damage or hazards.
• Conduct routine clean-ups, including litter collection and disposal.
• Identify and manage weeds and pests using appropriate methods.
• Maintain plants and lawns using contemporary horticultural techniques.
• Identify and report reticulation issues with lawns and gardens.
• Assist with construction projects and maintenance works as directed.
• Report daily to the Supervisor for instructions and updates.
• Adhere to all City policies and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor Parks, Coordinator of City Presentation, or Manager Operations.
