Responsible for internal work teams and external contractors, this position requires a strong leader to lead and supervise a committed team while promoting a safety first culture, while you will ensure a proactive, high quality and cost effective turf management service is provided across the Cityâs public open spaces.
You are a self-motivated go-getter who is able to provide expert advice and strategic direction to the organisation and contractors ensure high quality and cost effective techniques are implemented and maintained. Focussed on meeting, or possibly exceeding, our communityâs expectations for pristine parks and reserves, you have comprehensive knowledge and experience of contemporary turf management practices including, fertiliser/herbicide selection and application, turf renovation techniques and works scheduling. You thrive in a team environment and are looking to build on your current experience and further develop your career.
You possess well-developed interpersonal skills and are comfortable communicating across all levels of the organisation and the community it serves. Experienced in staff supervision and development, contractor management and safety and health legislation you will hold a qualification in Turf Management, or demonstrated learned knowledge through substantial experience, along with a current âCâ class driverâs licence and Construction Induction Training (White Card).

We are offering a gross cash salary of $95,325 per annum, and:
