The Role

An exciting opportunity exists within our Regional Strategy and Planning directorate for a Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing development applications in accordance with the statutory provisions of the Planning Act 2016 and Council’s Planning Scheme including compliance and enforcement for non-compliance with approvals and breaches of the planning scheme provisions.

Essential

1. C Class Drivers Licence.
2. Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or working towards such qualifications.
3. Proven experience in regulatory planning including knowledge of the Planning Act and other relevant legislation requirements.
4. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Desirable

1. Previous Local Government experience.
