Pool Manager- Norseman Aquatic Centre

Position Summary  

This is a contract position based at the Norseman Aquatic Centre. The successful applicant will have all required qualifications and certifications which must be current.

The Norseman Pool Manager works with the Shire of Dundas to create a safe and welcoming environment for patrons of the Norseman pool.

What are we looking for?

• A friendly professional who can work with a diverse group of people, tourists, seniors, families and children and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• The applicant must hold current Pool Operator/Managers Certificates and qualifications and current Pool Lifeguard & Senior First Aid Certificates;
• Hold a current Working with Children Check;
• Evidenced knowledge and skills to operate and maintain the pool’s water treatment plant;
• Sound knowledge of the provisions of the Health Act, Regulations and By-laws applying to the maintenance and operation of public swimming pool;
• Sound knowledge of the conduct of water chemistry tests;
• Sound knowledge of the safety procedures and requirements for the handling of hazardous chemicals used for water treatment;
• The ability to work in a small team and follow directions.
• Professional presentation and a positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual attendance, and the availability to work Tuesdays – Sundays, and the operating hours of the Norseman Aquatic Centre.
• Managing the Norseman Pool requires a level of physicality for pool surrounds maintenance and cleaning. 

Successful applicants will be required to undertake, police clearances and medical prior to employment.
