About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead Council’s procurement and contract management function. This role is all about driving value, ensuring compliance, and optimizing procurement processes to support Council’s strategic goals.

In this leadership role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of procurement and contract management. You’ll provide expert advice, develop sourcing programs, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that procurement activities align with legislative requirements and best practices. Your work will directly contribute to achieving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strong governance in Council’s procurement operations

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Finance, or related.
  • Extensive experience in procurement, contract management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector or local government procurement regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies, lead teams, and manage complex procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A current C-class Australian driver’s licence
