The Opportunity

The Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic Delivery and Contracts team. In this role, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of a variety of capital projects, including roads, buildings, ovals, and design works. As a Project Manager, you’ll manage scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project scheduling, planning, and execution to meet budget and timeline goals.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, risk management plans, and project management documents.
  • Manage contract claims, procurements, and stakeholder communications.
  • Lead the preparation of grant submissions and oversee grant acquittals.
  • Work with Management to improve project delivery efficiencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or related field, or at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proven experience delivering capital projects within scope, time, and budget.
  • Strong contract administration and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
