$105,392 – $116,249 (plus 11.5% super and annual pay increases)

Your New Career

This is an exciting multi-disciplinary role based in the Office of the CEO. The successful applicant will play a lead role in the delivery of the Council’s key strategic documents including the Council Plan 2025-2029.

You will be highly organised, able to progress work whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders, be adept at navigating complex projects and have a well-developed understanding of local government.

Key Selection Criteria

Mandatory Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in corporate strategy, policy development, engagement, project management or a related field with several years of subsequent relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, in complex settings involving a mix of council, government and community stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in research, data analysis, performance measurement, project management and report writing.
  • Proficient interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including strong influencing and relationship development skills, and the ability to prepare high quality information for a range of audiences.
  • Qualification Check
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).

A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in Local Government
  • Previous experience in the delivery of Council Plans and integrated strategic documents
