About the opportunity

Wanting a change from 9am - 5pm, looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with young people at our only youth facility located in Emerton. You will need to be patient, empathetic and relatable with a sense of fun.

Join our small close-knit team and make a real difference within our community and the lives of young people. Based at Emerton Youth Recreation Centre, your 35 hours would be 1pm-9pm Tuesday to Friday, Saturdays from 1pm-6pm, and a change during school holidays from 10.30am - 6pm Monday - Friday.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

• Tertiary qualifications in Sport Recreation or Leisure Studies or related discipline
• Two (2) years relevant experience working with young people in conducting recreational programs, especially of an indoor nature
• Current class C driver's licence
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Current Working with Children Check.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $1,396.13 per week
• 35-hour working week
