The Role

Would you like to play a key part in shaping the health and well-being of communities across the Loddon Campaspe region?

In this exciting project role, you will work with local governments, key stakeholders and the Healthy Loddon Campaspe team to provide expert statistical analysis, data management, and methodological support for the region-wide population health survey - the Active Living Census.

This unique survey will provide locally and regionally relevant, reliable and valid data on the health behaviours, activity levels, preferences and needs of the Loddon Campaspe population. 

You will assist in the preparation of clear, evidence-based summaries and visual reports, helping communicate key survey findings for use in planning and strategic decision-making aligned with local priorities.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant qualifications in Public health, Health Sciences, Biostatistics or similar
• Experience in data preparation, cleaning, management, statistical analysis, modelling, and reporting to ensure high-quality insights and data integrity
• Experience conducting statistical analyses using statistical software and appropriate techniques to identify trends, risk factors, and disparities in population health data, with a focus on actionable insights
• Knowledge of, or experience with, population health surveys, particularly in a local government or public health setting
• Enjoy working in a team environment, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a research context, including identifying data issues and applying practical solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with proven skills in quality report writing and preparing external correspondence

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
