About the role

This position is a permanent full time role in the Finance team and based at the Moruya Administration Office. In this role your primary focus will be to administer payment arrangements on overdue rates, water and debtor accounts and coordinate the referral of outstanding accounts without an arrangement for legal recovery.

Your main duties will include:

• Monitor and investigate overdue accounts.
• Liaise with the external debt recovery agency in relation to the collection of outstanding accounts.
• Monitor and maintain comprehensive records of all dealings with the debtor and the debt recovery agency.
• Provide ongoing support to other staff and the Revenue Supervisor as required.
• Respond to rates related correspondence and enquiries. 

Salary information
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $71,618.90 to $78,662.64 gross per annum consisting of:

• $64,232.20 to $70,549.45 base salary
• $7,386.70 to $8,113.19 superannuation (at 11.5%)

A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check is required for appointment to this position.

• Considerable experience in a financial environment including credit control and debt recovery functions.  
• High level of communication skills and ability to work successfully as part of a team.
• Demonstrated organisational skills to coordinate and prioritise a range of tasks in a busy environment to meet strict deadlines.
• Understanding and ability to use a range of computer software, including financial systems and MS Office programs
