Job Overview

Are you passionate about community safety and leadership? We are seeking two Senior Community Rangers to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in managing and coordinating daily activities of our Community Rangers, ensuring effective law enforcement and fostering a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide Community Rangers, fostering high performance and a safe work environment.
  • Manage patrols, inspections, and investigations to ensure law enforcement programs are followed.
  • Develop staff rosters, oversee induction, probation, and ensure staff have necessary equipment and uniforms.
  • Investigate breaches of acts, regulations, and local laws, and attend court when necessary.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on law enforcement matters and public inquiries.
  • Oversee the operations of the Animal Management Facility.
  • Assist with the development of local laws and an Animal Welfare Plan.
  • Ensure data collection and reporting for the Community Ranger Service.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Formal qualifications or significant experience in managing and supervising staff.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law enforcement role.
  • Hold Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills 1 & 2.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and computer skills.
  • Experience handling animals.
  • Current WA “C” Class driver’s license and National Police Clearance.
