About the role

As our Senior Creche Assistant you will help create a caring, inclusive, safe, and fun environment for children and staff. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the Admin creche, including supervision of administration staff. Duties will include the planning, implementation and evaluation of early childhood and school aged development; managing and planning the School Holiday Program; providing training for staff in the creche service area; and generating staff rosters.

Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of early childhood and school-aged development and create a caring environment that is inclusive, fun, and safe.
  • Maintain records and follow all procedures as required by the City of Kalgoorlie-Bouler and the Goldfields Oasis;
  • Maintain all levels of service in regard to site presentation, equipment maintenance and public health;
  • Ensure Centre procedures and practices are compliant with current statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Manage the online booking system, enrolment forms, monthly statistics, and payroll accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Ensure regular workplace inspections are conducted for safety, presentation, and compliance;
  • From time to time, you may be required to work at other City Creche facilities due to operational demands and requirements;
  • Liaise with the Senior Officer Creche to manage and plan the School Holiday Program.
  • Publish, maintain and review all associated processes, and ensure personal safety at work and that of others;

Who we are Looking for:

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working with children
  • Previous experience in a leadership role involving people and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to self-manage workload and apply sound decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage resources, budgets and reporting
  • Current ‘Working with Children’ card
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
