Permanent Full Time position
Salary: $104,611 to $116,756 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9-day fortnight.
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

About the role
Council is seeking a pro-active, enthusiastic Senior Environmental Health Officer who has outstanding organisational skills and who has demonstrated knowledge in food safety regulation, public health and safety, compliance, environmental protection, building and land-use planning and the regulatory functions that follow this framework.
In this role, you will utilise your extensive knowledge of the Food Act 2003, Public Health Act 2010, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, Local Government Act 1993 and other delegated NSW legislation.
About you
The successful applicant will work closely with the Environment and Health Team Leader proactively keeping them informed on Environmental Health matters and will be required to mentor staff and utilise their sound negotiation, regulatory and enforcement skills to deliver outcomes in line with Council's Operational Plan and Delivery Program.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to negotiate, mediate and problem-solve complex matters. You will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Science or the like, or have demonstrated equivalent experience.
