Mechanical Services Technical Officer

Salary: $82,538 to $92,433 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and a nine day fortnight

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role

The Mechanical Services Technical Officer reports to the Team Leader of Mechanical & Heavy Fleet Services and is responsible for the daily operations of the Council's mechanical workshop. This role leads a team of plant mechanics and administrative staff in maintaining and repairing the Council and RFS plant and equipment. Additionally, the officer manages the NHVAS, which involves conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations..

You excel in a team environment and take pleasure in building strong relationships with your colleagues. You are results-oriented and possess a keen eye for detail. Your expertise in interpreting schematic diagrams is invaluable, and you have a strong ability to analyse and effectively resolve complex mechanical issues. Additionally, you are budget-conscious and always strive to complete projects within budget.
